Imogen was bored. She had finished all of her homework, she didn’t have Quidditch Practice, she didn’t really fancy playing on her own, nor did she feel like reading, sketching or any of her normal activities. Honestly she was restless- for reasons unknown even to herself. She hadn’t been sleeping very well lately which left her attention span with something to be desired. She was back at School, it was seventh year, their last year. She had to figure out what she wanted to do this year. She had no clue.
She wandered the grounds, no particular purpose, just burning off excess energy. She was a Ravenclaw. A smart one at that, she was meant to know what she wanted to do with her life! She was meant to be driven to what she wanted, not still wondering. The other girls in her dorm had known what they wanted to do since second year, or something else ridiculous like that. Immy just didn’t know. She had mused over several different career choices, even considering taking Quidditch to a pro level before deeming it ridiculous.
She didn’t know what she wanted, and this year even the teachers were putting pressure on their students to know what they wanted. It was too stressful, Imogen always imagined seventh year would be fun, a lot of hard work, but something to look back on fondly, not the panic filled mess it had been so far. She wanted to be able to relax, but all her friends were even more uptight than she was! It was near impossible!
Immy stressed herself out even more as she walked down to the lake. She felt at ease there, there was something soothing about the water, it reminded her of home and being by the sea. She missed home a little already, she loved her family, her town and her friends. Hogwarts had been somewhat terrifying for her. She was muggleborn, so her parent’s weren’t even that big on attempting to use Owl Mail- her Mum was afraid of birds. It was random thoughts such as these which crossed Immy’s mind as she made her way to her spot at the Lake. She wasn’t impressed to see him there. Parker, Gryffindor playboy. And he was sitting on her rock at the lake.

Parker yawned, sitting on his rock by the edge of the lake. He had gotten up early again and instead of finishing his Charms homework like he had planned, he went for a walk and talked to some of the portraits to catch up on the latest gossip. Someone was caught snogging someone else last night, a teacher and student were found getting too close to one another, blah blah. The usual stuff that Parker didn't really care for.
So, once he finished getting his information, he went on a search for some of his pals. He looked for about twenty minutes before he realized that most of them would be asleep still, or would be out doing their own things, and since Parker hadn't gotten to them first, it looked like he would be on his own for most of the day... at least until lunch. Parker left the castle and headed for the lake, sudden excitement that he might actually see the squid today.
Sitting on his rock, Parker shifted and moved his leg up, resting his arm on his knee as he gazed intently at the gently swirling waters, watching it lap at the bank. But he knew there was someone coming towards the lake; he got that prickly, weird sixth sense going on. So, he broke his gaze from the lake and glanced slightly over his shoulder, his brown eyes settling on the dark haired girl coming his way. Unknown to him, he returned his gaze back to the lake.
Parker wasn't going to start a conversation with a girl he didn't know. At least, he wasn't going to do that today. He wasn't in the mood just yet.

Immy saw the boy notice her before turning his attention back to the water. He was on her rock. It was her thinking rock. It was the place where she sorted her head out, and she needed it today. If he kept her from her rock the semi-OCD Ravenclaw might be one step away from a nervous breakdown. She didn't want to think about the future or what she had to do after Hogwarts, she wanted to sit on her rock, stare at the water and forget what was happening, where she was, even what her name was.
She just wanted to forget everything. And she couldn't do that if he was sitting on her rock. Why was he even up at this time? No one was ever up when Imogen went on her early morning thought trips. It was one of the reasons why she loved them so much, they were peaceful. The fact that it was the Gryffindor manwhore on her rock made it even worse. She knew all about him, all the women he'd been with, she doubted he even knew her name. The fact that she looked about twelve wouldn't help the matter. He probably thought she was a fifth year.
Immy hovered a few feet away from him. She was torn, go back to the castle and pace, find another spot at the lake, or ask/tell the boy to move. She couldn't exactly tell him to move, Immy blushed at the thought of it! She was a polite little Ravenclaw, she just wanted her rock back, her spot at the lake, her water and her thoughts. And she wanted all of it without having to confront Parker Silva.

Parker knew she was still there. Hell, he always knew when there was a girl lurking by. He was odd like that. But, he wasn't going to move just yet; if this girl was like any of the other girls that followed him around or tried to get his attention, he knew that they would make the first move. So, he'd wait. Parker lifted his hand and ran it through his hair, sighing slightly. That had to be his signature move; the hand-through-the-hair-move. His hair was his pride and joy, something he took extreme care of. He liked to look good for the girls that trailed around after him.
The seventh year student looked over his shoulder again at the girl, and found that she looked distraught that he was still sitting there. She looked pretty, although he had never really seen her around before. She couldn't be any older than sixth year, he decided mentally. Parker glanced back at the water, a smirk forming over his lips. Alright, so she was the other kind of female; the ones that wanted Parker to make the first move. He could do that if she really wanted him to.
So he got up from his rock and turned to her, stuffing his hands into his pocket; his wand was stuffed behind his ear, keeping part of his hair back. "Hello, can I help you?" He asked her, that infamous smile on his face, his head tilted just slightly to the side.

Imogen saw Parker sighing and running a hand through his hair. She wanted to roll her eyes, what a drama king. He sighed as though he had the weight of the world on his shoulders. She didn't stop to think that she was being equally as dramatic in her desperation to get him off of her rock. She was still deliberating what to do when he stood. Oh no, he was actually approaching her. Couldn't he just walk away? Leave her to her lake and her rock to sort her head out.
She didn't want him to smile at her, because despite the intelligent Ravenclaw knowing his reputation and what he did to women, his smile still made her a little weak at the knee's. Any boy talking to her brought a blush to the usually calm girls cheeks. She was almost socially awkward when it came to boys. They just weren't something she dealt with. Not boys like him anyway. She could deal with the Ravenclaw boys, even the Hufflepuff's were fine. Slytherin's frightened her somewhat and the Gryffindors either repulsed her with their arrogance or turned her into a blushing pile of goo. Unfortunately for her, Parker Silva appeared to be in the second category.
Was he flirting with her? A part of her- the logical part- prayed that he was not. The other - smaller and more girly part- was squealing at the idea that he would even notice her. "You're on my rock." She said bluntly, not quite able to keep the squeak out of her voice. She doubted that this was the type of answer he had been expecting. Her cheeks were tinted red. He had his head tilted to the side slightly, it was almost as though he were studying her. They had at least four classes together, and there was no hint of recognition in his eyes. She was grateful for that, anonymity was all she had. She was almost invisible, able to fade into the back ground.

Parker glanced at her as she spoke so bluntly to him, and the only thought that came to his head was 'Ravenclaw'. He was a great person-watcher, and with his dad being an Unspeakable at the Ministry, Parker learned very quickly how to read body language, so it came as no surprise to him when he started applying the same knowledge to the kids here at Hogwarts, being careful with who to trust and who not to trust. That was how he picked up 90% of his dates, to be honest. Parker brought his attention from his thoughts back to the beauty at hand, and tried to figure out where they could have possibly bumped into each other.
The sex-haired male grinned at her squeak, fighting a chuckle. "Your rock? Where's your name, luv?" He called everyone - at least his female friends - 'luv', so it was no surprise to him when he called her that. She was beginning to grow familiar, but maybe it was because he couldn't really stop looking at her. She was really beautiful, naturally beautiful; not like some of the girls he hung out with. They were all masked and piled on with make up, and nine times out of ten, Parker was sure they only used the make-up around him, to impress him.
"I'm Parker, by the way. Parker Silva. I'm sure you already know that though," He introduced himself, holding his hand out to her. He didn't want to come off as too rude. Once or twice he had heard that about him, and had disliked it. Changing his image was hard though, and even though he tried, not many people could be convinced.

Imogen could see the amusement on his face at how high pitched her voice was when she spoke to him. He appeared to be fighting laughter, she didn't know if she should get angry or retreat and hide under a rock. Honestly the latter seemed pretty appealing by this point. She half wished she had run back to the castle when she had the chance. She didn't know why this boy was making her so socially awkward. She knew that she had issues with talking to men she didn't know, but usually it wasn't this bad! She wasn't socially inept or anything like that.
When he called her 'luv' she practically turned scarlet. She knew that he called all the girls that, she had heard him call some of his Gryffindor females it before. However she, herself, had never been given a term of endearment before. Not by anyone her own age anyway, her dad and other men that age, sure. She got every pet name under the sun last summer when she waitressed at the local bar in her town. But getting called 'luv' by a cute boy at school? That she was completely unacquainted with.
She frowned at him, deciding that sarcasm might be the route to go down. "Well it was there last week." She informed him, referring to her name on the rock. "I guess the rain must have washed it off." She was sure her sarcasm would have been a lot more convincing and witty had she not had a slight shake to her, still squeaky, voice. She refrained from rolling her eyes when he introduced himself, he definitely didn't know that they were in the same year. She had had a minimum of six classes with him since they started Hogwarts. She didn't know if she wanted to slap him or kiss him when he said that she would already know who he was. Arrogant berk. "Imogen Paul." She said, shaking his hand, ignoring his jibe. "I'm sure you weren't aware of that though." She said, mirroring his words, trying not to come across as the innocent little girl she actually was. [/blockquote]

The blush on her face was adorable, she fit the color and Parker found that he couldn't take his eyes off of her. The thought of seeing the squid gone clean from his mind, and any chance of meeting up with his friends was gone as well. He could spend all day looking at her. He brushed some of his wild hair back, smiling at her. Where Parker could point out the girls he had been with easily, as well as any general female classmates he had, he knew that if this girl and he were to walk into Hogsmeade and lose each other, Parker wouldn't be able to locate her right away.
At least, not until he got to know her name.
Sarcasm. Parker's smile turned into a grin, happy that she had some sort of sense of humor. "So, that makes the rock free-game." He finalized, raising an eyebrow at her. He wasn't going to let her get off scott-free, she would have to work to get away from him now. As she introduced herself and shook his hand, he quickly flicked his wrist so the top of her hand was facing up, and he lowered his mouth and kissed her hand, before releasing it, the grin on his face bright.
"Imogen? I know that name," Parker said, playfully defending himself as she said he probably didn't know that. "I think you're one of the few Ravenclaw girls some of my pals hang 'round with." He actually wasn't too sure of it. "At least, one of my pals used to hang around with you, or spoke of you. Dunno," Parker shrugged, still smiling at her. "At least it's a name I'll never forget."

He was looking at her funny, she felt weird, why was he looking at her like that? It was like he'd never seen a girl before. She knew that he had, he was snogging a different girl every other day. That was the type of guy he was, why a guy like that would even notice a girl like her she had no idea. She rolled her eyes a bit when he claimed that her rock was fair game. It wasn't. It was her rock. He could find a different one.
When he raised an eye brow at her she felt her dulling blush return to its previous scarlet. Why was he having this effect on her? Damn the boy and his awesome hair. She really did just want to run her fingers through the curls. It wasn't fair, he had to have put some sort of attraction charm on it or something. Yes, that would be it. That was why she was acting so strange.
Her eyes widened in shock when he turned over her hand and kissed her knuckles. She hadn't been expecting it, her heart fluttered and her mouth hung open very slightly before she mentally shook herself. He probably did this to all the girls, it was a routine, she wouldn't be caught up in it. She was a Ravenclaw, she was smart, she didn't get caught in boy's like Parkers traps. "I'm sure." She said, not believing a word of what he was saying. She knew his friends, she talked to a few of them, but she wouldn't consider herself close to any.
He was just covering his tracks and she knew it. "Seriously though." She said, starting to edge around him and walk towards her rock. "The rock is mine," She whipped out her wand and started muttering under her breath, beginning to score her name into the rock. A few seconds later it was done. "It even has my name on it now." She smirked, glad that she had read up on carving spells over that summer, you never knew when a little extra reading could come in handy.
