Allison concentrated, paint brush in had as she added a little green to the trees that separated the Black Lake from the Forbidden Forrest. Her hazel eyes captured every detail the tree had to offer, every color was noticed, as she painted, humming quietly to herself, her bushy eyebrows furrowed as she concentrated on her art work. She was planning on sending it to her mother, to brighten up her hospital room and to put a smile on her face. Last year, her mother was diagnosed with a disease that was native to Scotland, and it worried Allison considerably since they've had a couple of scares here and there. However she refused to believe what the healers were saying, that her mother may die soon. It was just unacceptable, to her they were accepting defeat and letting her mother die. Of course she told them that and demanded that they never use that excuse again for their lack of no how. Allison bit her lip and pushed that thought away, not wanting to get angry again and mess up on her painting, especially now that she was almost done. Washing the brush off, then drying it, Allison dipped her brush into the red and the orange, wanting to capture the sunset perfectly, when she heard a twig snap behind her. Turning around Allison put her indifferent mask on and looked at the intruder. “Hello,” Allison said politely wondering what they wanted.

Daniel found that ever since meeting Zahra, he couldn't help but spend more time at the lake in hope of finding her. She had really been something special and he didn't care about the age difference. He had never met anyone like her and he wanted to see her again. He felt slightly stupid being this whipped on a younger girl. He made his way to the lake once more, his friends merely rolling his eyes at him. They knew he loved the lake.
He made his way there, not rushing, just taking in the air. He was slowly convincing himself that he was going there for himself, not for Zahra. When he reached the shores he immediately spotted someone he knew. Thoughts of Zahra left his mind as he walked over. He hadn't talked to Allison in a while which was weird. He was good friends with her brother. He laughed when she gave him a blank face and hello.
"Come on Ally, I'm sure we're past that kind of greeting." He joked before sitting beside her. "What's with the expression kid?" He asked.

Allison was surprised to see Daniel, her best friend (well only friend) since first year standing there with a smile on his face. She would never admit it, especially to him, but she missed him, everything seemed better with him around, she liked to think of him as the light to her constant darkness. If she were to ever say that out loud though, people would probably think that she had some sort of creepy crush on him, but she didn't.
Allison rolled her eyes, her usual smirk appearing on her face. Now that she thought about it, she didn't think Daniel ever saw a true smile grace her lips. “And why should I give you the royal treatment?” she said jokingly and looked at her pallet for the color she wanted. “If you don't like my face Daniel your more than welcome to leave,” She said calmly before looking up from her pallet, the same smirk on her lips. “What brings you here on a Tuesday? Shouldn't you be studying?” She said, her voice light, almost teasing as she looked at her friend. He seemed different some how, which was absurd seeing as how she sees him all the time in class. It was rather sad that the two seemed to be drifting lately, but Allison didn't want to bring that up, he was here talking now, that's all that really mattered.
